Today was Suzanne’s last Doctor’s appointment before finishing treatments and coming back in two weeks for a checkup. Going through all the details of what to do when we get home, what to look for, and how to react was just like a pre-flight checklist. We finally crossed into the single digits, nine radiation treatements to go. It’s actually hard for us to imagine that Suzanne has arrived at this point, and how fast it has seemed to be. Unfortunately, speed will not be the norm for the coming weeks, with this week being the hardest so far with throat pain intensifying. The constant pain drags on attitude as well as stamina.
