Day 10

Day 10

From time to time, I have nothing profound to say. I myself find those days disheartening; but my wife, she cherishes those days. For the purpose of this Journey, these posts will be just numbered the number of days we have been on our Journey together; hence ‘Day 10’

Some days are just days as we try to blend all our deep stirring emotions with our daily life. As an example, today I had a tooth pulled. As they struggled, & sawed & pulled & picked, my eyes were closed and I tried not to dwell on medical things ahead. I said more than 1 prayer for my wife as I talked to the Lord; I also figured out how I was going to build my next garden project; and went through all the stuff I should be doing at home while I sat there.

Suzanne spent her Day 10 mostly sewing. She finished up 156 masks for the school as well as finished quilting a quilt for a good customer and close friend.

A huge storm blew up around 4 pm and we had to scramble to take all the quilts and pillows off the porch. Then we had to set all of Suzanne’s water can collection down so we aren’t chasing them across the yard later. I started to run and get the mail but decided not to risk my life in this wind and our 100-year-old struggling trees.

It’s just about time for supper and with our two current afflictions, we are both on a soft diet so leftover Chicken & Noodles it is.

All in all, it was a normal day. One of the 5 we have this week before reality hits this Thursday. I love my life and the one I live in it with. I look forward to this Journey being over and returning to normal days again someday.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
