Paradigm Shift

Paradigm Shift

Did you feel it the other day? There was a Paradigm Shift in the universe, well at least in my universe. Let me share when it happened.

It was 12:04 pm on Friday, April 14th, 2023 and I was sitting in our kitchen. It was a nice spring day and I had been out working in the garden where I was finishing up building a raised strawberry bed. I came in, washed my hands, grabbed a glass of lemonade, and sat down at the counter. Suzanne was busy in the kitchen working on preparing lunch for the two of us and it was at that moment I felt the world change around me. I was staring at her across the room and realized . . . . I’m not making my own lunch!!! Suzanne is making lunch for both of us eat. Yes, you heard that correctly, BOTH of us!!!

You may not realize just how big a deal this was as our universe totally shifted. The last time I remember the two of us sitting down for lunch together and eating the same meal was sometime in the fall of 2020. Our routine since then was for us both to be making two different lunches at the same time, one that she could drink or spoon down, and me a sandwich or such that I could eat. It always resulted in us bumping into each other, each trying to use the microwave, both looking for different things in the refrigerator, or trying to use the faucet at the sink. We looked like bumper cars at the county fair.

But today, I felt this sense of normalcy just sitting there, not doing anything but staying out of the way. The idea that we would ever get to this point again in our lifetime was thought to be improbable, if not impossible. But yet, here we were, me in my element and she in hers. What a wonderful place to be.

What’s next? Going to a restaurant and Suzanne ordering off the menu? Oh wait, that happened that same night when we went to Mexican in Hoopeston, another paradigm Shift.

The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.
