Can’t Comprehend
I just can’t comprehend how much the lives of the Apostles changed in just one day. A man, walking along the seashore stopped and asked these men to follow him, follow him across the lands as his associates. For each one that did, their lives changed that day forever.
Mostly fisherman, one day these men were casting their nets into the sea and the next day, they were on a journey that would make history. What moved them to make that choice, to leave everything comfortable about their lives and explore the unknown. Did it cross their minds; where will their next meal come from, the strange lands they will have to negotiate, who they will have to rely on for survival.
For the rest of their lives, the apostles followed that man until his untimely death. Then, with the knowledge He had bestowed on them, they continued his teachings throughout their world.
Needless to say, I just can’t comprehend how much our lives will change in just one day either. On Tuesday, these two Apostles of Christ lives will change forever as well. Our commitment to each other and to the Lord above won’t change, only how we accomplish our jobs in this journey of life.
We also face the unknown; will the cancer be gone; will we be able to travel; will our physical needs be met; will we still get our 9024 remaining days together?
For the rest of our lives, with the knowledge we have gained through our experiences, we too will continue to teach throughout our world. By word and by example; to our children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, friends, family, and strangers, our job will be to teach the love we feel from that man who walked the seashore so many years ago.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
John 20:21

What a wonderful analogy, John. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and expressing them so well.
Thank you John for sharing. I had a Christian friend going through some real faith test asked me why God was letting this happen..I had to think on this for a moment I replied its a way for us to share our faith. He agreed.
Sending love and prayers to you and Suzanne.
Much love, Paula

Wow! That IS a great analogy and you two continue to be lifted up
in prayer so that you can carry out the Lord’s will for your lives.
I have talked to God many times in the last 48 hours, praying for a flawless surgery, great healing, and continued positive attitudes for both of you. Harold and I will continue to pray for complete healing and more! Keep us updated!
