Did you ever have the feeling that things are going too good? Well, it’s been that way around here. Suzanne eating every meal with me at the counter; spending hours quilting for friends and customers; reading and keeping up with Facebook friends.

Sometime mid last week the walls crashed in around her. Reactions to the radiation treatments began to get the best of her as the mucus in her throat worsened, the pain in her throat intensified, and her desire to eat has diminished.

As things continued to escalate, Saturday evening we decided to talk with the Rush ‘On Call’ Radiation Dept Doctor. He was very helpful and prescribed nausea medicine to help with that issue. This evening he followed up with a call to see how she did today. We have been blessed to be at Rush where they go beyond the expected.

Fortunately, we have a previously scheduled appointment at Rush this Wednesday which will give us the chance to share our experience of this past week. Hopefully, they will have some encouraging news as well as remedies for Suzanne’s issues. Keep Suzanne on your prayer list as she still has a long journey ahead.
