Today was Suzanne’s last Doctor’s appointment before finishing treatments and coming back in two weeks for a checkup. Going through all the details of what to do when we get home, what to look for, and how to react was just like a pre-flight checklist.

• Weight concerns – check
• Blood pressure – check
• Appointment dates – check
• Final Goodbyes – check

Listening to her doctors share their delight in how well Suzanne has done through this whole process was encouraging. One doctor even commented, “You have done the best of any patient I’ve ever had”.

Leaving today, Suzanne was in great spirits, looking forward to lunch, and especially to heading home this Friday.
