I Repeat myself

I Repeat myself

I’m sure if you have been reading this all along you can find things here and there that are repetitive. My thoughts on how treatments are going; my attitude toward our little apartment (no matter how appreciative I am to have it); the sights & smells of the big city; how supprised the doctors are with Suzanne’s progress. What I didn’t realize is how repetitive I have been with some of the Bible Verses at the close of my daily entry.

Yesterday as I was finishing up my post on Suzanne’s current condition, I began to post a scripture that seemed familiar. So I decided to see if I had used it before, and I had. I also discovered that I have also doubled up on 3 other verses. How could my memory let me down like that?

I was taken back and appalled, just as I’m sure you were when as you read my post and then you were forced to read those 3 verses more than one time. I can hear you all wondering, has John lost it? How could he possibly post the same verse in a post time and time again? ( well maybe it’s just time and again )

To make up for my calamity, I’m announcing a simple contest, find the repeats and win! The complete prize list hasn’t been finalized but it is sure to include no less than a ‘Hardy Hand Shake, a Pat On The Back, and The Admiration of All Your Pears’ or at least as much of that as COVID allows.

So with that, I owe it to you, my readers: I will work harder; I promise to do better; I will make sure that there are no more repeats in any of my posts; I will research my daily verse with more intensity; I will work harder.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Colossians 3:23

  1. Frankly, I am always astounded as to the breadth of your scripture knowledge, since you always seem to find the Bible verse that pertains exactly to the subject of the day. Keep up the good work, and if there are a few duplicates maybe that just means that verse is particularly appropriate.

  2. I say “When the Verse fits, use it”. And every verse you have left us with is showing us how God is continuing to work thru Suzanne & you, the Drs & all in the treatment of this Cancer, John.
    Love you both!

  3. Oh John, We don’t care if you repeated something. The scripture is above all, worth repeating. My heart goes out to you and Suzanne.
