Day 35

Day 35

We have survived week 1 of the treatments and living in our ‘Tiny House’ without too many squabbles. Suzanne’s treatments are cumulative so this week was an easy one for her. At this point, she is doing all she can as preventative measures to prepare for the later weeks.

Since Monday is Labor Day, we have a long weekend ahead of us here at home. Her radiation treatment was done by 9:00 am this morning so we were on the road early for home and looking forward to our own bed tonight.

A busy weekend ahead, our sweetcorn patch is ready so we will be freezing corn this weekend. Tomatoes are also coming on strong so canning juice and pasta sauce will also be on the agenda. Oh, Yea, eating bacon & tomato sandwiches is also on tap; tomatoes are one of the high acid food that will end up on the ‘Do not eat’ list before this is over so Suzanne wants to chow down now.

Thanks to good friends, I won’t have to worry about mowing the yard this weekend, but I do have a number of flower beds that will need some attention along with the pond. Maybe I’ll put out some fall lettuce & radishes for this October.

If anyone wants to stop by and say hi, let me know, as we would be happy to see a friendly face anytime.

Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.
